My Sensor Boxes

Sensor Boxes are a physical thing. A sensor box has one or more Signals in various combinations;

• Inputs for measuring or detecting
• Outputs for controlling an external device
• Connect to your internet connection using WiFi
• Are powered by a mobile phone charger or similar.
• Low power/low cost to run (1~2W power consumption)

Signals are the individual Inputs or Outputs available on a Sensor Box.

• Inputs are used to measure things like temperature, humidity, or if a door is open or closed.
• Outputs typically use a relay that can then be used to control something in the real world, such as operating the open/close button on your gararge door, or turning on or off a water solenoid for your automatic watering system.

Sites (Locations)

Sites are a way of grouping your Sensor Boxes. Think of a site as the location where the sensor box is installed.

• A site can be a physical place such as an address or business premises.
• A site can also be a physical location at the address or premises
• You can use sites to identify various places
• The dashboard shows signals grouped by sites

Triggers

Triggers are used to make something happen when a specified condition is met.

• The input to a trigger is the value from one of your Sensor Box signals
• You can also use the time each day to activate a trigger, simply add a virtual clock as a sensor.
• You specify what condition needs to be met for the trigger to occur
• If the trigger conditions are met, then the alert assigned to the trigger will be performed.

Alerts

Alerts are what actually happens when a trigger condition is met. An alert can be one of the following;

• Send an email to up to three addresses.
• Send an SMS text message to one mobile phone number.
• Control one output signal on any of your sensor boxes (Set to on/off/pulse).
